Musée des Beaux-Arts de Strasbourg – The Musée des Beaux-Arts de Strasbourg is housed in the historic Palais Rohan, a magnificent 18th-century building in the heart of Strasbourg. Established in 1801, the museum holds one of the finest collections of Old Master paintings in France outside of Paris, with exceptional holdings of Italian, Spanish, Flemish, Dutch, and French art from the 14th to 19th centuries. The collection includes masterpieces by Giotto, Memling, Botticelli, Raphael, Veronese, El Greco, Zurbarán, Rubens, Van Dyck, Canaletto, and Goya, as well as French masters such as Simon Vouet, Philippe de Champaigne, and Delacroix. The museum is particularly renowned for its remarkable collection of Italian primitives and Spanish painting, including one of the finest collections of still-life paintings in France.
