This painting gallery in Berlin's Kulturforum opened in 1830, with its current building completed in 1998. It houses the Berlin State Museums' primary collection of European paintings from the 13th to 18th centuries. Works by Rembrandt, Cranach, Rubens, and Rogier van der Weyden form the collection's cornerstone. The museum's 609 catalogued works offer a comprehensive survey of Renaissance and Baroque masterpieces.
